$5,000 HIRING BONUS!
The University of Minnesota Police Department provides police services to the campus community. We are responsible for all properties owned by the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities area. Through a strong working relationship with the law enforcement agencies adjacent to our campuses, we partner to provide service to areas that border our campus where our campus community lives and spends time.
A unique opportunity in our department is working overtime at the abundance of special events held on campus. These events include Gopher sporting events, concerts, and dignitary visits. Officers earn time and a half and those earnings are included in the calculation for retirement benefits as part of PERA Police & Fire Plan.
We value our team-centered work environment. The wellness of our employees is a high priority. We have several programs in place to address and enhance employee wellness. We have several specialty units that provide our officers career enrichment and paths for advancement.
