Lateral Eligibility:
To be eligible for the AZ POST Lateral Waiver Process, applicants must:
-Have previously served as a certified peace officer in Arizona or another state. (One year of post-academy sworn service required)
-Have completed basic and advanced training that demonstrates substantial comparability to the Arizona basic course.
-Meet all of the minimum qualifications for certification as an Arizona peace officer.
-Obtain an appointment from an Arizona law enforcement agency.
Continued Employment is contingent upon AZ POST Approval of the Waiver Application.
