RECRUITMENT BONUS – UP TO $5,000!**
The State of Florida is offering a recruitment bonus of up to $5,000 for newly certified officers and for out of state law enforcement officers who move to the Sunshine State!
Certified law enforcement officers who are currently employed by a law enforcement agency within the state of Florida, who will not qualify for the State of Florida recruitment bonus, may be eligible for a one-time recruitment bonus from the Sheriff’s Office of up to $3,000.
Additionally, applicants with prior certified full-time law enforcement experience may start above the minimum starting pay up to $51,958.40 annually based on the applicant’s years of service.
*Effective 2023, starting pay increases to $47,736.00 – $53,768.00
**Applicants are not eligible to receive more than one recruitment bonus. State of Florida paid bonuses are contingent upon legislative appropriation.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office offers a comprehensive benefit package including:
